Information Urent collects
To process your requests through Urent, we collect your personal information that you provide to us, as well as the personal information that can be accessed through third-party sources and the personal information that is collected automatically by the use of the services. Urent will not pass any debit/credit card details to third parties. Urent takes appropriate steps to ensure data privacy and security through various hardware and software methodologies. However, Urent cannot guarantee the security of any information that is disclosed online.
What is the personal information given to us by you?
Account information shared by the user will be saved on the Urent database (I.e Email address, password, phone number). Users are asked to upload their profile picture on the application to further verify their identity, that is also saved in the Urent database. All trip information, as well as bookings are tracked, and saved in the Urent database. Urent collects vehicle details from the Host (I.e pictures, plate number, pricing..etc) that information is directly displayed on the mobile application for renters to navigate through. Urent stores all this data to ensure there are no discrepancies. All credit/debit cards are stored safely with the payment gateway partner of Urent, this ensures extra protection for all the users with information this sensitive.
What is the information we automatically collect while you use the App?
We collect usage data. We keep track, and collect information about your actions on our platform, such as the content you have viewed, searches, bookings you have made, and all other activities on the platform. We collect your location details. Your precise location details can be fetched from your mobile device, but you can disable the mobile device from providing location services at any given time via settings. We also collect cookies, small data files from our platform. The data files can be in the form of clear gifs, cookies, pixel tags, or/and storage facility provided by your browser or associated application.

Account deletion can only be processed after all outstanding fines or dues are cleared with urent’s accounts team. After the clearing of all dues, if any, all user data and account information will be deleted. Account deletion can be requested via the profile page.
